In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, we organised a Symposium on the 25th of June 2010 at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Lecture Theatre 45. The theme of this Symposium is "Polytechnic Education - Moving into a New Era." Along with this symposium a souvenir magazine was also published. This magazine was distributed to all ASU members and guests who attended the Symposium. New members may obtain a copy of this magazine at the ASU office on a first come first serve basis, till we run out of stock.

Distinguished speakers speaking on the various spectrum of polytechnic education were:
Mr. Ng Cher Pong. Deputy Secretary (Planning) of the Ministry of Education who spoke on the topic of "Polytechnic Education and Pre-Employment Training (PET)".
Mr. Ong Ye Kung, Assistant Secretary-General, NTUC who spoke on the topic of "Polytechnic Education and Continuing Education and Training (CET)".
